SILENCE X SPEAKS
In 2014, Leila went through a very toxic breakup only to land herself in another toxic situation. When she tried to communicate to the other person about her concerns and feelings, they completely gaslighted her and left her… both mentally and physically. With questions never answered, she went on a quest to heal herself. She began painting what became her infamous collection, “Silence Speaks.” This collection represents Adam and Eve, and the lack of communication they had due to verbal and mental abuse. This was Leila’s form of therapy. A year and a half later, Leila ran into the individual who caused the pain. She told him “you really hurt me.” He simply replied, “At least I made you feel again.”
